Why Am I Qualified To Help You?
I have been studying and implementing different marketing strategies for the past 11 years. As a result of testing and tweaking such strategies, I grew my first training provider business to 6 figures in less than 12 months.
In 2015 I was headhunted by the owners of a multi-six figure business and offered the role of CEO. The remit was to help them grow & scale to a multi-seven figure business. I accepted the challenge and we achieved exactly that.
In 2018 I set up my own business again, only this time focused on helping the smaller Health & Fitness Business Owners to get clients and increase profits so they can grow a successful and sustainable business.
I have since coached and mentored 100’s of Health & Fitness Business Owners, helping them to do just that.
I also happen to have a deep passion for the industry and often say, it’s part of my DNA!
I started working in the Fitness Industry in 1991 as a freelance aerobics & step instructor. I would drive my little red van with 30 Espree steps piled up in the back (my 21st birthday present from my parents) to different locations and I loved it. My knees and hips wish I had done something different now of course!
After having my two boys, I went on to do different roles within the health & fitness industry: from Personal Trainer and GP Referral Manager to Club Manager and then full time Tutor for Level 2, 3 & 4 Fitness Qualifications. I understand what it’s like to work in such a dynamic and vibrant industry AND what it takes to run a business.
It hasn’t all been easy though!
With my first business (Evolve Leisure, a training company delivering fitness qualifications) I made some huge mistakes.
I had invested in a marketing coach and learned so much about marketing. It’s what helped me grow that business to 6-figures in year 1. I had built a team and wore the ‘6-figure business’ badge with pride! BUT…
I didn’t really know anything about the financial side of running a business. I hadn’t looked at my business model to see if it was a profitable and therefore sustainable one. Guess what? It wasn’t!
Sure, revenue was good, 6-figures whoop whoop! But the reality was … once all the costs and VAT had been paid and the team had been paid… there was not a lot left in the pot for me!
It was a hard lesson to learn and now as a Business Coach, not only do I help my clients with marketing and sales strategies… I look at their business model to make sure it is financially sustainable. I help them to build their business around the lifestyle they want, rather than the other way around. Ultimately, I want to help them avoid the mistakes I made.
